Lymefine 408mg Capsule contains Lymecycline, a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic effective against a variety of bacterial infections. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of moderate to severe acne vulgaris, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections, and certain skin and soft tissue infections caused by susceptible strains of bacteria. Lymecycline works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby preventing bacterial growth and proliferation.

The 408mg dosage provides an optimal therapeutic concentration for effective treatment while minimizing potential adverse effects. Lymefine should be administered orally, preferably on an empty stomach to enhance absorption, and the duration of therapy should be guided by the severity and type of infection. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to tetracyclines, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and children under eight years due to risks of tooth discoloration and enamel hypoplasia.
