Imipenem, a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic, exhibits potent bactericidal activity by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis. Cilastatin is a renal dehydropeptidase inhibitor that prevents the enzymatic degradation of imipenem in the kidneys, thereby enhancing its therapeutic efficacy and prolonging its half-life.

This injection is effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic pathogens, including multidrug-resistant strains. I Nem 500mg/500mg Injection is primarily administered intravenously and is suitable for treating complicated intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, respiratory tract infections, septicemia, skin and soft tissue infections, and bone and joint infections.
Dosage and duration of therapy should be individualized based on the severity of infection, renal function, and patient response.
