Imeron 500mg Injection is a combination antibiotic formulation containing Imipenem 500mg and Cilastatin 500mg, indicated for the treatment of serious bacterial infections caused by susceptible organisms. Imipenem is a broad-spectrum carbapenem antibiotic effective against a wide range of Gram-positive and Gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacteria. Cilastatin is a specific inhibitor of renal dehydropeptidase-I, an enzyme responsible for the degradation of Imipenem in the kidneys, thereby enhancing the antibiotic’s efficacy and prolonging its half-life.

Imeron 500mg Injection is primarily utilized in the management of complicated intra-abdominal infections, urinary tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, respiratory tract infections, and septicemia.
