Nepafenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) that inhibits prostaglandin synthesis, thereby reducing inflammation, pain, and ocular hyperemia. This medication is intended for topical use in the affected eye(s) and should be administered 3 times daily, starting 1 day prior to cataract surgery and continuing for 28 days post-surgery.
