Lorazepam acts by enhancing the effect of the neurotransmitter gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) at the GABA-A receptor, producing sedative, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, and muscle relaxant properties. Lopez MD 1 Tablet is prescribed for short-term relief of severe anxiety symptoms, including generalized anxiety disorder and panic attacks, as well as for the treatment of insomnia associated with anxiety or transient situational stress.

It is also utilized in the management of status epilepticus and as a premedication before surgical procedures to induce sedation and amnesia. The onset of action is rapid, typically within 20-30 minutes, with a duration of effect lasting 6-8 hours. Dosage should be individualized based on patient response, age, and clinical condition, with caution advised in elderly patients and those with hepatic or renal impairment.
Prolonged use is discouraged due to risks of tolerance, dependence, and withdrawal symptoms. Common adverse effects include drowsiness, dizziness, and impaired coordination. Lopez MD 1 Tablet should be used under strict medical supervision, avoiding concomitant use with alcohol or other CNS depressants.

How to use Lopez Tablet MD Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Do not handle the tablets with wet hands. Put it in your mouth but do not swallow it. Lopez MD 1 Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Lopez MD 1 Tablet should be used for short periods and sleepiness of the baby should be watched. The withdrawal of Lopez MD 1 Tablet should be gradual.
