Propranolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocker, reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and sympathetic nervous system activity, making it effective in controlling hypertension, angina, and tachyarrhythmias, as well as mitigating physical symptoms of anxiety such as tremors and palpitations. The combined action of these agents provides a synergistic effect, addressing both the psychological and somatic manifestations of anxiety and related disorders.
Kiprop-C is indicated for patients requiring both anxiolytic and beta-blocker therapy, particularly in cases where anxiety is accompanied by cardiovascular symptoms. Caution is advised in patients with respiratory disorders, hepatic impairment, or a history of hypersensitivity to benzodiazepines or beta-blockers.
