Nimesulide is a selective cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2) inhibitor with analgesic, anti-inflammatory, and antipyretic properties, which helps reduce inflammation and pain. This combination is particularly useful in conditions such as renal colic, biliary colic, dysmenorrhea, gastrointestinal spasms, and musculoskeletal pain where both muscle relaxation and anti-inflammatory effects are desired.
Mefson Spas Tablet should be administered as per the prescribing physician’s instructions, with caution advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, gastrointestinal disorders, or hypersensitivity to NSAIDs. It is contraindicated in patients with active peptic ulcer, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, and known allergy to either component. Common adverse effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, nausea, dizziness, and hypersensitivity reactions.
