Aceclofenac, a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), exerts its therapeutic effect by selectively inhibiting cyclooxygenase-2 (COX-2), resulting in decreased synthesis of prostaglandins responsible for inflammation, pain, and swelling. The synergistic action of these two components makes Hifenac Spas effective in managing conditions such as biliary colic, renal colic, gastrointestinal spasms, dysmenorrhea, and musculoskeletal pain with an inflammatory component.
The tablet is indicated for short-term use to relieve acute episodes of pain and muscle spasms.
