Lynx Injection contains Lincomycin 300 mg, a lincosamide antibiotic effective against a variety of aerobic and anaerobic gram-positive bacterial infections. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus species, and certain anaerobic bacteria when oral therapy is not feasible or when the infection is severe. Lincomycin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis through binding to the 50S ribosomal subunit, thereby preventing peptide bond formation.
