Lynx 500 Capsule contains Lincomycin 500mg, a lincosamide antibiotic effective against a variety of aerobic and anaerobic gram-positive bacterial infections. Lynx 500 is indicated for the treatment of serious infections caused by susceptible strains, including respiratory tract infections, skin and soft tissue infections, bone and joint infections, and intra-abdominal infections.

It is particularly useful in patients allergic to penicillin or when other antibiotics are contraindicated. The capsule formulation ensures convenient oral administration with good bioavailability. Dosage should be individualized based on the severity of infection, patient weight, and renal function, typically administered every 6 to 8 hours. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, and therapy should be guided by culture and sensitivity results whenever possible.
