Gonal-F 300IU Solution for Injection contains recombinant follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) at a dose of 300 IU per vial. Additionally, Gonal-F is used in men for the treatment of hypogonadotropic hypogonadism to stimulate spermatogenesis. The recombinant FSH in Gonal-F acts by promoting the growth and maturation of ovarian follicles in females and stimulating spermatogenesis in males. The solution is administered via subcutaneous or intramuscular injection, with dosage individualized based on patient response and clinical indication.
Treatment requires careful monitoring of follicular development through ultrasound and serum estradiol levels to minimize the risk of ovarian hyperstimulation syndrome (OHSS) and multiple pregnancies.
