Xylocare-ADR Injection is a sterile solution containing Lidocaine 2% w/v and Adrenaline 0.001% w/v, formulated for local anesthesia with vasoconstrictive properties. Lidocaine, a widely used amide-type local anesthetic, acts by blocking sodium ion channels in neuronal membranes, thereby inhibiting nerve impulse conduction and providing effective analgesia. The addition of Adrenaline, a potent vasoconstrictor, prolongs the anesthetic effect by reducing systemic absorption of Lidocaine, minimizing bleeding at the site of administration, and enhancing the duration of anesthesia.
