Myaza Injection, containing 100mg of Azacitidine, is a specialized antineoplastic agent used primarily for the treatment of myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS) and acute myeloid leukemia (AML) in adults who have experienced a response that is insufficient with conventional therapy. Azacitidine, a nucleoside analogue, selectively inhibits DNA methyltransferase, thereby modifying aberrant DNA methylation patterns associated with MDS and AML.
The Myaza Injection is administered intravenously or subcutaneously, following a prescribed schedule, and should be handled with care to avoid exposure. Patients should be closely monitored for potential side effects, such as myelosuppression, infections, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
