Mofecon-S 360 Tablet DR is a prescription medication indicated for the prophylaxis of organ rejection in adult patients with renal transplants. The active ingredient, mycophenolate sodium, is a potent immunosuppressant that inhibits the activity of certain immune cells, thereby preventing rejection of the transplanted kidney. This medication is designed to be taken once daily, with or without food, and is available in a controlled-release formulation to provide sustained release of the active ingredient over a 12-hour period.

The recommended starting dose is 720mg (two 360mg tablets), which may be adjusted based on individual patient response and laboratory parameters. Common side effects of Mofecon-S 360 Tablet DR include headache, diarrhea, abdominal pain, and nausea. Patients with a history of serious infections, including herpes zoster, or those with a compromised immune system may be at increased risk of developing opportunistic infections while taking this medication.
As with all immunosuppressive therapies, Mofecon-S 360 Tablet DR carries a risk of malignancy, including lymphoma. Patients should be monitored closely for signs and symptoms of infection or malignancy while taking this medication.
