The addition of Adrenaline, a sympathomimetic agent, induces vasoconstriction at the site of administration, which prolongs the anesthetic effect, reduces systemic absorption of Lidocaine, and minimizes bleeding during surgical or dental procedures. Lignox 2% A Injection is indicated for infiltration, nerve block, and regional anesthesia in minor surgical interventions, dental procedures, and diagnostic interventions requiring localized numbness.
The onset of anesthesia is rapid, typically within minutes, with a duration extended by the vasoconstrictive action of Adrenaline. Caution is advised in patients with cardiovascular disorders, hypersensitivity to amide anesthetics, or those receiving monoamine oxidase inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants. Proper aspiration before injection is recommended to avoid intravascular administration.
