Iverwave 12 Tablet contains Ivermectin 12 mg, an antiparasitic agent widely used for the treatment of various parasitic infections. Ivermectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels found in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, leading to increased permeability to chloride ions, hyperpolarization, and subsequent paralysis and death of the parasite.

This medication is primarily indicated for the treatment of strongyloidiasis, onchocerciasis, and other infections caused by susceptible parasites such as certain types of roundworms, scabies, and lice. Iverwave 12 Tablet is administered orally, with dosage and duration tailored according to the specific parasitic infection and patient factors including weight and severity of infection.
It is generally well tolerated; however, potential adverse effects may include dizziness, nausea, diarrhea, headache, and mild skin reactions. Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function or those with a history of hypersensitivity to Ivermectin. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to any component of the formulation.
