Ivertreat 12mg Tablet contains Ivermectin 12mg, an antiparasitic agent widely used for the treatment of various parasitic infections. Ivermectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels found in invertebrate nerve and muscle cells, leading to increased permeability to chloride ions, hyperpolarization, and subsequent paralysis and death of the parasite.

It is effective against a broad spectrum of parasites including those causing onchocerciasis (river blindness), strongyloidiasis, and other nematode infections. Ivertreat is indicated for oral administration in adults and children weighing more than 15 kg, with dosage and duration dependent on the specific parasitic infection being treated. It is generally well tolerated; however, adverse effects such as dizziness, pruritus, rash, and gastrointestinal disturbances may occur.
Caution is advised in patients with impaired liver function or those with concomitant infections. Ivertreat should be used under medical supervision, and patients should be monitored for therapeutic response and potential side effects. It is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to Ivermectin or any of the tablet excipients. Proper adherence to prescribed dosing regimens is essential to ensure efficacy and minimize the risk of resistance development.
