Albendazole, a benzimidazole carbamate, inhibits microtubule synthesis in parasitic worms, disrupting their cellular structure and function, resulting in their elimination. This combination is particularly effective against intestinal helminths, including roundworms, hookworms, whipworms, and tapeworms, as well as tissue-dwelling parasites such as filarial worms.
