Iversafe Lotion contains Ivermectin 0.5% w/v, a broad-spectrum antiparasitic agent indicated for the topical treatment of various parasitic skin infections, including scabies and pediculosis (lice infestation). Ivermectin acts by binding selectively and with high affinity to glutamate-gated chloride ion channels in the nerve and muscle cells of invertebrates, leading to increased permeability to chloride ions, hyperpolarization, paralysis, and death of the parasites.

Iversafe Lotion is intended for external use only and should be applied to the affected areas of the skin as directed by a healthcare professional. Prior to application, the skin should be cleaned and dried thoroughly. The lotion should be applied evenly and left on for the recommended duration to ensure maximal efficacy. Common adverse effects are generally mild and may include local irritation, itching, or redness at the site of application.
Iversafe Lotion is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to ivermectin or any of the formulation excipients. Caution is advised when using this product in pregnant or breastfeeding women, and its use in pediatric patients should be under medical supervision.
