Impinoz Cream contains Ozenoxacin 1% w/w, a non-fluorinated quinolone antibiotic indicated for the topical treatment of impetigo and other superficial bacterial skin infections caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Ozenoxacin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial DNA gyrase and topoisomerase IV, enzymes essential for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, and repair, leading to rapid bactericidal activity.

Impinoz Cream is formulated for cutaneous application and is particularly effective against methicillin-sensitive Staphylococcus aureus (MSSA) and Streptococcus species, including strains resistant to other topical antibiotics. The cream is intended for use in patients aged two months and older, providing a convenient and well-tolerated treatment option with minimal systemic absorption.
Clinical studies have demonstrated that Impinoz Cream significantly reduces lesion size, bacterial load, and associated symptoms within a few days of treatment. It is generally well tolerated, with adverse effects limited primarily to mild local irritation or erythema at the application site. Impinoz Cream should be applied twice daily to the affected area for a duration as prescribed by a healthcare professional, typically five days.
