Immutil-S 360 is formulated as a delayed-release tablet to enhance gastrointestinal tolerability and optimize bioavailability. It is indicated for the prophylaxis of acute rejection in patients receiving allogeneic renal, cardiac, or hepatic transplants, often in combination with other immunosuppressants such as cyclosporine and corticosteroids. The delayed-release formulation helps reduce gastrointestinal adverse effects commonly associated with mycophenolate mofetil.
Dosage and administration should be individualized based on patient condition, transplant type, and concomitant immunosuppressive therapy, with careful monitoring of renal function, hematologic parameters, and signs of infection. Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances, leukopenia, and increased susceptibility to infections. Immutil-S 360 should be used under strict medical supervision with appropriate laboratory monitoring to ensure efficacy and minimize potential toxicity.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to mycophenolate sodium or its components.
