Idofnib 100 Soft Gelatin Capsule contains Nintedanib 100 mg, a tyrosine kinase inhibitor used primarily in the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and certain types of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC). Nintedanib acts by inhibiting multiple receptor tyrosine kinases involved in the processes of angiogenesis, fibroblast proliferation, and tumor growth, including vascular endothelial growth factor receptors (VEGFR), platelet-derived growth factor receptors (PDGFR), and fibroblast growth factor receptors (FGFR).

This multi-targeted mechanism helps to slow disease progression by reducing fibrosis in IPF and inhibiting tumor angiogenesis and proliferation in cancer. Idofnib 100 is indicated for patients diagnosed with IPF to improve lung function and delay disease progression, as well as for use in combination with chemotherapy in advanced or metastatic NSCLC of adenocarcinoma histology.
The capsule should be administered orally with food to enhance absorption and minimize gastrointestinal side effects. Common adverse effects include diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, liver enzyme elevations, and decreased appetite. Liver function and blood counts should be monitored regularly during treatment. Dose adjustments may be necessary in cases of hepatic impairment or adverse reactions.
