Ibanclast Tablet contains Ibandronic Acid 150 mg, a potent bisphosphonate indicated primarily for the treatment and prevention of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women and other conditions associated with increased bone resorption. Ibandronic Acid acts by inhibiting osteoclast-mediated bone resorption, thereby increasing bone mineral density and reducing the risk of fractures. It is particularly effective in reducing vertebral fractures and is also used in managing bone metastases in certain cancers to prevent skeletal-related events. The tablet is administered orally, typically once monthly, with specific instructions to take it on an empty stomach with a full glass of water, remaining upright for at least 60 minutes post-dose to minimize gastrointestinal irritation. Common side effects may include gastrointestinal discomfort, esophageal irritation, and transient flu-like symptoms. Contraindications include hypocalcemia, esophageal abnormalities, and inability to remain upright for the recommended period.
