Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), selectively inhibits the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby reducing vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, which leads to decreased blood pressure. Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-1 selective adrenergic blocker, reduces heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, contributing to blood pressure reduction and improved cardiac function.
