Clotrimazole, an imidazole antifungal agent, disrupts fungal cell membrane integrity, thereby treating fungal otitis externa. Beclometasone, a potent corticosteroid, provides anti-inflammatory and anti-pruritic effects, reducing edema, erythema, and discomfort associated with otic infections. This combination is particularly beneficial in cases where bacterial and fungal pathogens coexist, and inflammation exacerbates symptoms.
