How It Works
Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks angiotensin II receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and lowering blood pressure.
Amlodipine inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, leading to vasodilation and reduced myocardial oxygen demand.
Hydrochlorothiazide inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule, leading to increased urine output and decreased blood volume.

Olzox Trio Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Olmesartan Medoxomil 20mg, Amlodipine 5mg, and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg. This formulation is designed to provide effective blood pressure control by targeting different physiological mechanisms. Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), inhibits the vasoconstrictive effects of angiotensin II, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance.

Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, promotes vasodilation by inhibiting calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle cells, further aiding in blood pressure reduction. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, facilitates the excretion of sodium and water through the kidneys, decreasing blood volume and cardiac output. The combined action of these three agents offers a complementary approach to managing hypertension, particularly in patients who require multiple drug therapy for adequate control.
Olzox Trio is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension and may help reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with high blood pressure. It should be used under medical supervision with appropriate monitoring of renal function, electrolytes, and blood pressure. Contraindications include hypersensitivity to any component and conditions such as severe renal impairment.
