This formulation is designed to manage hypertension by targeting multiple physiological pathways to achieve optimal blood pressure control. Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, inhibits vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, thereby reducing peripheral resistance. Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, promotes vasodilation by inhibiting calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle cells, further lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, enhances sodium and water excretion, decreasing blood volume and systemic vascular resistance. The synergistic effect of these agents provides effective blood pressure reduction in patients inadequately controlled by monotherapy or dual therapy.
