How It Works
Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks angiotensin II receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and lowering blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule, leading to increased urine output and decreased blood volume.
Amlodipine inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, leading to vasodilation and reduced myocardial oxygen demand.

Olpress 3D Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Olmesartan Medoxomil 40 mg, Amlodipine 5 mg, and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. This formulation is designed to manage hypertension by targeting multiple physiological pathways to achieve optimal blood pressure control. Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, inhibits vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, thereby reducing peripheral resistance.

Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker, promotes vasodilation by inhibiting calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle cells, further lowering blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, enhances sodium and water excretion, decreasing blood volume and systemic vascular resistance. The synergistic effect of these agents provides effective blood pressure reduction in patients inadequately controlled by monotherapy or dual therapy.
Olpress 3D is indicated for essential hypertension and may reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with high blood pressure. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any component, anuria, or severe renal impairment. Caution is advised in patients with electrolyte imbalances or gout. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes is recommended during therapy.
Olpress 3D should be used under medical supervision with adherence to prescribed dosing to ensure safety and efficacy.
