Olmesartan Medoxomil (40mg) + Hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg)
Active composition

Olmesartan Medoxomil blocks angiotensin II receptors, preventing vasoconstriction and lowering blood pressure.
Hydrochlorothiazide inhibits sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubule, leading to increased urine output and decreased blood volume.
Medical applications
Olmetime-H 40 Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Olmesartan Medoxomil 40 mg and Hydrochlorothiazide 12.5 mg. Olmesartan Medoxomil, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist, selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby inhibiting vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. Hydrochlorothiazide, a thiazide diuretic, promotes sodium and water excretion by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, enhancing diuresis and further lowering blood pressure. This combination is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with Olmesartan Medoxomil alone. Olmetime-H 40 Tablet effectively reduces systolic and diastolic blood pressure, thereby decreasing the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and heart failure. The medication should be administered once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments should be based on clinical response and tolerability. Caution is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, electrolyte imbalances, or hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes is recommended during therapy to ensure safety and efficacy.
