Obinil-HS is recommended for adults with a body mass index (BMI) ≥30 kg/m² or ≥27 kg/m² in the presence of other risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, or dyslipidemia. Clinical studies have demonstrated its efficacy in promoting significant weight loss, improving cardiovascular risk factors, and enhancing glycemic control in obese patients. The capsule should be administered orally with meals containing fat, typically three times daily.
Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal disturbances such as oily spotting, flatulence with discharge, fecal urgency, and increased defecation, which are generally mild and related to unabsorbed fat. Patients should adhere to a nutritionally balanced, reduced-fat diet to minimize side effects and ensure adequate intake of fat-soluble vitamins.
