Kilfat Tablet

Kilfat Tablet is indicated for the treatment of obesity, particularly in patients with a body mass index (BMI) of 30 kg/m² or greater, or those with a BMI of 27 kg/m² accompanied by obesity-related comorbidities such as type 2 diabetes, hypertension, or dyslipidemia. It is intended to be used as an adjunct to a reduced-calorie diet and increased physical activity. The recommended dosage is one 60 mg tablet taken orally three times daily with each main meal containing fat.

Common adverse effects include gastrointestinal symptoms such as oily spotting, flatulence with discharge, fecal urgency, and abdominal discomfort, which are generally mild to moderate and tend to decrease over time. Kilfat Tablet should be used under medical supervision, with monitoring for fat-soluble vitamin deficiencies and potential drug interactions. It is contraindicated in patients with chronic malabsorption syndrome or cholestasis.
