Nulong-MT 25 Tablet ER is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Cilnidipine 10 mg and Metoprolol Succinate 23.75 mg in an extended-release formulation. Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, selectively inhibits L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation of peripheral arteries and reduction of sympathetic nerve activity, thereby lowering blood pressure. Metoprolol Succinate, a beta-1 selective adrenergic receptor blocker, decreases heart rate, myocardial contractility, and cardiac output, contributing to effective blood pressure control and reduction of myocardial oxygen demand. The extended-release formulation ensures sustained plasma concentration, promoting once-daily dosing and improved patient compliance. Nulong-MT 25 is indicated for the management of essential hypertension, particularly in patients requiring combination therapy to achieve target blood pressure levels. It may also be beneficial in patients with concomitant conditions such as angina pectoris or certain cardiac arrhythmias, under medical supervision.
