Muppo 2% Ointment is a topical antibacterial agent containing Mupirocin (2% w/w). This ointment is indicated for the treatment of impetigo caused by susceptible strains of Staphylococcus aureus and Streptococcus pyogenes. Muppo 2% Ointment should be applied to affected areas twice daily for a duration not exceeding 10 days. It is crucial to avoid contact with the eyes and mucous membranes. In case of accidental contact, rinse thoroughly with water. This ointment should not be used on extensive or widespread impetigo, or impetigo involving the face or mucous membranes, unless the situation warrants the potential benefits to outweigh the risks.
