Migvon SR 40 Tablet is a once-daily, slow-release formulation of Propranolol, a non-selective beta-adrenergic blocking agent indicated for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and other cardiovascular disorders. The extended-release formulation provides a sustained release of Propranolol over 24 hours, allowing for a consistent therapeutic effect and minimizing peak-to-trough fluctuations. Migvon SR 40 Tablet is also indicated for the prophylaxis of migraines and cluster headaches. The recommended starting dose is 40mg once daily, with adjustments made as needed to achieve the desired therapeutic effect. Common adverse reactions include fatigue, lightheadedness, and bradycardia. Propranolol may also mask symptoms of hypoglycemia, and patients with diabetes should be monitored closely. Migvon SR 40 Tablet should be used with caution in patients with a history of congestive heart failure, peripheral arterial disease, and obstructive pulmonary disease.
