This fixed-dose combination is effective in areas with chloroquine-resistant strains of Plasmodium falciparum. Megather Tablet is indicated for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria in adults and children weighing more than 15 kg. The recommended dosage should be strictly followed to ensure therapeutic efficacy and minimize the risk of resistance development. Common adverse effects may include headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and fatigue, which are generally mild and transient.
Caution is advised in patients with known hypersensitivity to artemisinin derivatives or lumefantrine. Use during pregnancy should be considered only if the potential benefits outweigh the risks. Megather Tablet should be taken with food or a fatty meal to enhance absorption.
