Lariago-DS Tablet contains Chloroquine 500mg, an antimalarial agent primarily used for the treatment and prevention of malaria caused by Plasmodium species. Chloroquine exerts its therapeutic effect by interfering with the parasite's ability to digest hemoglobin, leading to toxic accumulation within the parasite and subsequent death. Lariago-DS is indicated for acute attacks of malaria, including uncomplicated Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax infections, as well as for prophylaxis in endemic areas.
