Macsart CL 10mg/40mg Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Cilnidipine 10mg and Telmisartan 40mg. Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, selectively inhibits L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation of peripheral arteries and reduction of sympathetic nerve activity, thereby lowering blood pressure. Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), antagonizes the AT1 receptor, preventing angiotensin II-mediated vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, resulting in decreased vascular resistance and blood pressure.
