Lupidip 10mg Tablet contains Amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker used primarily in the management of hypertension and angina pectoris. By inhibiting the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle cells, Amlodipine promotes vasodilation, thereby reducing peripheral vascular resistance and lowering blood pressure. This mechanism also improves myocardial oxygen delivery, making it effective in preventing angina attacks.

Lupidip 10mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, chronic stable angina, and vasospastic angina (Prinzmetal’s angina). The extended half-life of Amlodipine allows for once-daily dosing, enhancing patient compliance. Common side effects may include peripheral edema, headache, dizziness, and flushing, which are generally mild and transient. Caution is advised in patients with severe hypotension, aortic stenosis, or heart failure.
Dose adjustments may be necessary in hepatic impairment due to the drug’s metabolism via the liver. Lupidip 10mg should be used under medical supervision, with regular monitoring of blood pressure and clinical response to optimize therapeutic outcomes and minimize adverse effects. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Amlodipine or other dihydropyridine derivatives.
