LTK-AM Tablet

Amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, inhibits the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, resulting in peripheral arterial vasodilation and reduced systemic vascular resistance. The synergistic action of these two agents provides effective blood pressure control, improving patient compliance by combining two mechanisms in a single tablet.

LTK-AM is indicated for patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with either Losartan or Amlodipine alone. It may also be used in patients at risk of cardiovascular events due to hypertension. The medication should be administered under medical supervision with periodic monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes. Common adverse effects include dizziness, headache, peripheral edema, and fatigue.
