This medication is indicated for rapid diuresis in patients requiring prompt fluid removal, such as those with acute pulmonary edema or severe hypertension unresponsive to oral therapy. The injectable form ensures rapid onset of action, making it suitable for inpatient settings where oral administration is not feasible. Dosage and administration should be individualized based on the patient’s clinical condition and response, with careful monitoring of electrolyte levels, renal function, and fluid balance to prevent adverse effects such as hypokalemia, dehydration, and hypotension.
