Ktel-AM Tablet

Amlodipine, a dihydropyridine calcium channel blocker, inhibits calcium ion influx into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle, promoting vasodilation and reducing peripheral vascular resistance. The synergistic action of these two agents provides enhanced blood pressure control compared to monotherapy, improving cardiovascular outcomes and reducing the risk of stroke, myocardial infarction, and renal complications associated with hypertension.

Ktel-AM is indicated for patients who require combination therapy to achieve target blood pressure levels. The tablet is generally well tolerated, with common adverse effects including dizziness, peripheral edema, and headache. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to either component, severe hepatic impairment, or pregnancy.
