Jupitaxel 80 Injection contains Docetaxel 80mg, a chemotherapeutic agent belonging to the taxane class, utilized primarily in the treatment of various malignancies. Docetaxel acts by promoting and stabilizing microtubule assembly, thereby inhibiting mitotic cell division and inducing apoptosis in rapidly proliferating cancer cells. Jupitaxel 80 is indicated for the management of breast cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, prostate cancer, gastric adenocarcinoma, and head and neck squamous cell carcinoma.

Administered intravenously, the dosage and treatment schedule of Jupitaxel 80 should be individualized based on the patient’s condition, tumor type, and response to therapy. Premedication with corticosteroids is recommended to reduce the risk of hypersensitivity reactions and fluid retention. Common adverse effects include neutropenia, anemia, alopecia, peripheral neuropathy, nausea, and fatigue.
Close monitoring of hematologic parameters is essential during treatment to manage potential myelosuppression. Jupitaxel 80 should be used with caution in patients with hepatic impairment and contraindicated in individuals with hypersensitivity to docetaxel or polysorbate 80. Due to its cytotoxic nature, appropriate handling and administration precautions must be observed. This medication should be prescribed and administered under the supervision of an oncologist experienced in chemotherapy protocols.
