Irbepex Tablet contains Irbesartan 150 mg, an angiotensin II receptor antagonist primarily indicated for the treatment of hypertension and diabetic nephropathy associated with type 2 diabetes mellitus. By selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, Irbesartan promotes vasodilation, reduces aldosterone secretion, and decreases sodium and water retention, thereby effectively lowering blood pressure and reducing cardiac workload.

Irbepex is beneficial in managing high blood pressure, helping to prevent strokes, myocardial infarctions, and kidney problems. It is also used to slow the progression of renal impairment in patients with type 2 diabetes and hypertension. The tablet is generally well tolerated, with common adverse effects including dizziness, fatigue, and gastrointestinal disturbances. It is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Irbesartan or any tablet components, and caution is advised in patients with renal artery stenosis, severe hepatic impairment, or during pregnancy.
Irbepex should be administered once daily, with or without food, and dosage adjustments may be necessary based on clinical response and renal function. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and serum electrolytes is recommended during therapy to ensure safety and efficacy.

How to use Irbepex Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Irbepex Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.

Irbepex Tablet is unsafe to use during pregnancy as there is definite evidence of risk to the developing baby. However, the doctor may rarely prescribe it in some life-threatening situations if the benefits are more than the potential risks. Please consult your doctor.
