Inditel D Capsule SR contains a combination of Telmisartan 40 mg and Indapamide 1.5 mg, formulated for the management of hypertension. Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor antagonist that selectively blocks the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, thereby inhibiting vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure.

Indapamide is a thiazide-like diuretic that promotes sodium and water excretion by inhibiting sodium reabsorption in the distal convoluted tubules of the kidneys, contributing to decreased plasma volume and peripheral resistance. The sustained-release formulation ensures a gradual and prolonged release of the active ingredients, enhancing therapeutic efficacy and improving patient compliance by maintaining stable plasma drug concentrations.
Inditel D Capsule SR is indicated for patients with essential hypertension who require combination therapy to achieve optimal blood pressure control. It may also be used in cases where monotherapy with either agent is insufficient. Caution is advised in patients with renal or hepatic impairment, electrolyte imbalances, or hypersensitivity to sulfonamides. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and serum electrolytes is recommended during therapy.
This combination therapy helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular events associated with uncontrolled hypertension.
