The sustained-release mechanism helps maintain stable plasma concentrations, minimizing peak-trough fluctuations and reducing the incidence of adverse effects such as dizziness and fatigue.

Inderal LA 20 should be used with caution in patients with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, diabetes mellitus, and peripheral vascular disease due to its non-selective beta-blocking properties. Dosage should be individualized based on clinical response and tolerability. Common side effects may include bradycardia, hypotension, fatigue, and gastrointestinal disturbances.
