Hypernil 10mg Tablet contains Lisinopril, an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor used primarily in the management of hypertension and heart failure. By inhibiting the ACE enzyme, Lisinopril reduces the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, a potent vasoconstrictor, leading to vasodilation, decreased blood pressure, and reduced workload on the heart. This mechanism helps in improving cardiac output and preventing complications associated with high blood pressure, such as stroke, myocardial infarction, and kidney damage.

Hypernil 10mg is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension, congestive heart failure, and for improving survival after myocardial infarction. It is also used to slow the progression of diabetic nephropathy in patients with type 1 diabetes and proteinuria. The usual dosage should be individualized based on patient response and renal function, with monitoring for potential adverse effects including hypotension, hyperkalemia, cough, and renal impairment.
Caution is advised in patients with a history of angioedema, renal artery stenosis, or those who are pregnant. Regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes is recommended during therapy to ensure safety and efficacy. Hypernil 10mg should be used under medical supervision with adherence to prescribed dosage.

How to use Hypernil Tablet Take this medicine in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Swallow it as a whole. Do not chew, crush or break it. Hypernil 10mg Tablet may be taken with or without food, but it is better to take it at a fixed time.
