Homide Eye Drop is indicated for use in diagnostic procedures requiring pupil dilation, as well as in the treatment of inflammatory conditions of the anterior segment of the eye. The onset of action typically occurs within 30 minutes, with effects lasting up to 24 hours. It should be administered under the supervision of an ophthalmologist, with caution in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma due to the risk of precipitating angle-closure attacks.
Common adverse effects may include blurred vision, photophobia, and transient stinging upon instillation. Homide Eye Drop is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to Homatropine or related compounds.
