HA2 Eye Drop contains Homatropine sulfate 2% w/v, a parasympatholytic agent used primarily in ophthalmology to induce mydriasis and cycloplegia. Homatropine acts by competitively blocking muscarinic receptors in the iris sphincter and ciliary muscles, resulting in pupil dilation and temporary paralysis of accommodation. This facilitates thorough examination of the retina and anterior chamber, as well as relief from ciliary spasm associated with uveitis or other inflammatory conditions.

HA2 Eye Drop is indicated for diagnostic procedures requiring mydriasis, treatment of anterior uveitis, and management of ocular pain due to ciliary muscle spasm. The onset of action typically occurs within 30 to 60 minutes, with effects lasting up to 24 hours. Caution is advised in patients with narrow-angle glaucoma, as mydriasis may precipitate an acute angle-closure attack.
Contraindications include hypersensitivity to Homatropine or other anticholinergic agents. Adverse effects may include blurred vision, photophobia, increased intraocular pressure, and occasional systemic anticholinergic effects such as dry mouth or tachycardia. HA2 Eye Drop should be used under strict medical supervision, with appropriate monitoring of intraocular pressure and patient response to therapy.
It is contraindicated in pediatric patients under two years of age due to increased risk of systemic toxicity.

How to use HA Eye Drop This medicine is for external use only. Use it in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Check the label for directions before use. Hold the dropper close to the eye without touching it. Gently squeeze the dropper and place the medicine inside the lower eyelid. Wipe off the extra liquid.
