Hipres 50 Tablet contains Atenolol 50 mg, a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker primarily used in the management of cardiovascular conditions. Atenolol functions by reducing heart rate, cardiac output, and blood pressure, thereby decreasing myocardial oxygen demand and workload. It is commonly prescribed for the treatment of hypertension, angina pectoris, and to improve survival following myocardial infarction. Additionally, Atenolol is effective in managing certain cardiac arrhythmias and in the prevention of migraine headaches. The drug’s cardioselectivity makes it preferable in patients with respiratory conditions such as asthma, although caution is still advised. Hipres 50 should be administered under medical supervision, with dosage tailored to the individual patient’s clinical condition and response. Common side effects may include fatigue, dizziness, bradycardia, and cold extremities.
