Hexartan MLN 50 Tablet is a combination antihypertensive medication containing Cilnidipine (10 mg), Metoprolol Succinate (50 mg), and Telmisartan (40 mg). This formulation is designed to provide comprehensive blood pressure control through multiple mechanisms of action. Cilnidipine, a calcium channel blocker, inhibits L-type and N-type calcium channels, leading to vasodilation and reduced peripheral vascular resistance. Metoprolol Succinate, a selective beta-1 adrenergic receptor blocker, decreases heart rate and myocardial contractility, thereby reducing cardiac output and oxygen demand. Telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), prevents vasoconstriction and aldosterone secretion by inhibiting the binding of angiotensin II to AT1 receptors, promoting vasodilation and sodium excretion. The combined effect of these agents results in effective management of hypertension, reducing the risk of cardiovascular events such as stroke and myocardial infarction. Hexartan MLN 50 is indicated for patients requiring combination therapy when monotherapy is insufficient. It should be used under medical supervision with regular monitoring of blood pressure, renal function, and electrolytes. Caution is advised in patients with hepatic or renal impairment, and it is contraindicated in pregnancy and severe hypotension.
