Gepatit Tablet is administered orally and is generally well tolerated, with common adverse effects including headache, fatigue, dizziness, and nausea. It is essential to monitor liver function tests and HBV DNA levels periodically during therapy to assess treatment efficacy and detect potential resistance. Gepatit should be used with caution in patients with renal impairment, and dose adjustments may be necessary.
It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Entecavir or any component of the formulation. Patients co-infected with HIV should receive appropriate antiretroviral therapy as Entecavir is not effective against HIV and may lead to resistance.
